Guidance Sessions
Guidance Sessions
This session is designed for DIYers who want to make a cast themselves but want expert guidance for the hard parts.
You will attend our studio with the person/s to be casted and you will make the alginate mould and pour the stone with the guidance of our in-house caster.
You will be able to ask questions about the casting process.
Please note this is only offered for Crystal Keepsake kits, not for other brands.

What's Involved:
- Buy your chosen DIY Kit
- Buy your 90 minute Guidance session
- Book an available time slot at the link provided
- Attend at the Date and Time at our studio at Unit 23, 16 Crockford Street, Northgate QLD 4013
- Make sure you bring the person to be casted with you
You will use our facilities to make the cast yourself, however Chelsea will talk you through the following steps:
1. Making the Alginate Mould
2. Pouring the Stone
You will leave our studio with your poured cast (still wet) to finish at home:
3. De-Mould: Once the stone is hard you remove the alginate from your stone cast
4. Clean and detail
5. Allow to dry for the recommended number of weeks
6. Paint and display
Note: this is for Stone Casting Kits Only, not for Crystal Clear.
Casting Services
We offer the following casting services that are completed at our studio in Northgate:
- Baby up to 1 year old (2 Hands/2 Feet)
- Adult Couple Hands (2 Hands Conjoined)

This service involves you attending our studio with the person/s to be cast where the alginate mould will be taken by our in-house caster.
Our in-house caster will finish your statues and you will be contacted when they are ready for collection. Please note depending on the size of the cast it can take up to 4-6 weeks for the statue to dry to be ready for painting, please allow 6-8 weeks for your cast to be ready for collection.
The prices below are for your cast to be painted with 2 coats of Metallic Paint and they will be boxed in a cardboard box.
At this point we are not offering mounting or framing services.
Mobile Service
If you would rather have your castings created in the privacy of your own home, at a time convenient for you, we can offer a customised mobile service.
An additional service fee will apply for travel.

Introductory Training Course
Our introductory course focuses on the skills needed to successfully cast Baby Hands and Feet.
This is a hands-on course taught by a professional caster at our studio in Northgate.
You will be casting 2 hands and 2 feet of a baby under the age of 1 year old. You will take your casts home with you.
The course covers:
- Making the Mould
- Pouring the Stone
- Troubleshooting Topics including Baby Techniques and Bereavement Casting.
- Demoulding, Drying and Detailing
- Painting and Displaying
Allow up to 6 hours.
Fee includes materials and lunch.
